Steven, the oldest of five children, is a handsome and smart young man. He is aware of his surroundings and what is transpiring with his case. He likes to be in the know and ask questions. Steven prefers to be told the truth, however, when he does not like the truth he will shut down, but eventually comes around and speaks about his feelings. Steven enjoys playing basketball and is on a recreational team. Steven has stated he wants a family who is active and will allow him to play sports.
Stephanie, the oldest girl of the five siblings, is a smart and reserved young lady. She is quiet and takes her time in engaging with people she has just met. Stephanie loves dancing and gymnastics. She also likes playing basketball and reading chapter books. Her favorite color is pink. Stephanie does very well in school and is a high achiever. Her favorite subject is math and least favorite is social studies. Stephanie will do best with a family who has lots of patience and understanding and who will allow her to come into her own.
Scott, the middle child of five siblings, is an energetic and social young boy. He likes being on the go and moving around. Scott’s favorite colors are blue, green, and gold. He likes eating different kinds of foods and often imagines different types of foods he would like to make. Scott enjoys football and basketball; his favorite football player is Eli Manning and favorite basketball player is Michael Jordan. Scott wants a family who is active and will allow him to play sports.
Sara, the middle girl in this group of five, is an adoring young girl with a sweet smile. Quiet and shy, she will engage with those around her. Sara is very playful and can play in a group or on her own. She has a great imagination and can entertain herself with any item she finds. Sara is progressing in school with her alphabet, counting, and writing her name. She enjoys animals, but has a small fear of dogs. Sara’s favorite color is pink, and she enjoys watching “Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood” and “Sesame Street” on television. Sara does have an allergy to raw eggs, but is able to eat eggs that are cooked.
Sandy, the youngest of five children, is an adorable toddler. She is very smart, talkative, and is always asking questions. Sandy is full of energy and loves climbing, jumping, and running. She likes playing with her sister and follows Sara wherever she goes. Though not of school age, Sandy is learning her alphabet and numbers. She is able to identify her colors and has a great imagination when coloring. Sandy will do well with a family who is active and can keep up with her energy and questions.
Steven, Stephanie, Scott, Sara, and Sandy are a terrific group of children who are looking for a family who will keep them together, even though they are currently placed in three different homes. They are not yet legally free for adoption, however when a permanent resource is identified, the county will enact final steps to terminate parental rights.
Families must have an approved Family Profile (home study) to adopt a child. Only those families with approved profiles will be considered by the child’s caseworker in the county children and youth agency with custody of the child.
