SOP(Age 14)
Izzy is intelligent, creative, and a problem solver. She has a sweet tooth, and might think about sharing some Skittles with you…but not Kit-Kats, those are her favorite! Izzy uses her creativity to solve problems. She’s built a cell phone holder; so when her phone is plugged in, the cord does not extend across the floor. She enjoys coloring mandalas, but is open to any activities that would let her creativity shine. Izzy has recently began playing soccer and is loving it!

When talking about a family, Izzy states that she wants the opportunity to be a normal kid. She wants to continue to play soccer, and be able to try new extra-curricular activities. She thinks it would be sweet to have her very own pet snake!

If Izzy cannot live with her siblings, it would be really important to her to be able to visit and have contact with them.

SOP is an intelligent, outgoing young lady. If she’s not outside playing volleyball, you might find her curled up with a good book! SOP enjoys a wide variety of music. SOP has recently started taking piano lessons. Prior to that, she had taught herself how to play. She thinks that having a dog in the home would be awesome since you can’t have a tiger as a pet. SOP loves learning new things and would appreciate the opportunity to partake in honors or advanced placement courses.

Izzy and SOP are not legally free for adoption; however, the county will move toward the termination of parental rights once a permanent resource is identified.
Families must have an approved Family Profile (home study) to adopt a child. Only those families with approved profiles will be considered by the child’s caseworker in the county children and youth agency with custody of the child.
The information is given by PAE based solely on the statement of the family that they are approved to adopt. Families in Pennsylvania without an approved Family Profile are directed to contact 1-800-585-SWAN1-800-585-SWAN to pursue an agency in their geographic area. Families living outside of Pennsylvania are encouraged to work with an agency in their state to prepare the profile.
