Biography

Ted is a sweet young man with a beautiful smile. Although Ted is nonverbal, he is able to understand what is said to him in conversation. Ted has a favorite blanket from the movie “Cars” that he loves to snuggle with and carries everywhere. He enjoys climbing up on people's laps or anywhere else he can get to and his favorite movie is “Shrek.”

Ted is diagnosed with autism and the genetic disorder known as “tuberous sclerosis.” This has resulted in Ted having a bump on his head, mental retardation and seizures. He has regular medical check-ups, takes medication and has not had a seizure for about one year.

Ted needs a patient, caring and loving family that can create a stimulating and structured atmosphere where his long-term needs can be met. His forever family will need to work with him on social skills, speech and identification of objects.

All families will be considered for Ted. Parental rights will be terminated upon identification of a permanent resource.
