Biography

Elizabeth is a charming and exuberant young lady who wants to find a family with whom she can share her life. She is quiet and polite and often surprises people with her great sense of humor. She likes people to know that she is a horse lover, and has ridden horses in the past. She likes to be around horses when she is able to, but loves animals of all kinds. Elizabeth hopes to find a family who also loves animals and has pets that she could help care for, especially cats or dogs.

Elizabeth likes to relax with others and enjoys watching movies. She's also a fan of programs on Animal Planet and the Sci-Fi Network. She also likes to play board games. She is a good team player and enjoys spending time with other people.

Elizabeth is proud of the fact that she will try new foods and eats many vegetables, even though she had an aversion to them when she was younger. Recently, she has been avoiding foods that contain red food dyes and tries to limit the amount of sugar in her diet. However she does indulge in an occasional sugary drink.

Elizabeth is at her best when she is part of a structured living environment where she knows what is expected of her. She will thrive in a home where she can receive plenty of love, attention and nurturing. Those who know her, are very fond of Elizabeth and are committed to helping her achieve her goals. Elizabeth has reconnected with some biological family members, and she would like to be able to find an understanding family who will be open to her having some continued contact with these family members. Those family members with whom she has contact with, are supportive of her and want only the best for her.

Elizabeth has been working with a speech therapist recently, and everyone is impressed with the progress she's made in such a short time. She works hard at the therapy, as she does with everything. She has also become better at expressing her feelings with the help of appropriate coping skills.

Elizabeth has been through a lot in her life, but amazes people around her with her kindness and ambition to keep improving herself. All families will be considered for Elizabeth. She is not yet legally free for adoption.
