Biography

Jaimie is an active young lady who loves sports and the outdoors. Hiking, camping and fishing are all activities that Jaimie enjoys. As an active sports fan, Jaimie's favorite sport is football, and she is a passionate fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. She hopes to one day play football on an organized co-ed team. In the meantime, she is always ready for a pick-up game with her peers. She describes herself as a tomboy.

Jaimie is a very caring person and enjoys spending time with people and animals. She has a preference for dogs, and wants to have one of her own some day. Jaimie wants it to be known that she enjoys all kinds of animals. Although she can be shy at first, Jaimie quickly warms up to friendly people and is easy to talk with. She is always eager to talk to someone about football, or to someone who brings her an energy drink.

When the weather keeps her inside, Jaimie enjoys watching movies, playing on the Wii, and listening to pop music on the radio. She likes to joke around, and laughs easily.

Jaimie has attended multiple schools and therefore, school can be frustrating for her at times. She is currently working hard in school, but needs a family who will be there to support and encourage her in her efforts as well as advocate for her individual educational needs.

When Jaimie gets frustrated, she utilizes many different, and effective, coping skills. She finds that giving herself some quiet time alone, either in her room or out on a walk, can really help her calm down. Once calmed, Jaimie is open to discussing the things that bother her with people she has learned to trust, and being able to do so is really important to her.

Jaimie is an extremely warm and personable young lady who wants a forever family who is active and enjoys sports and the outdoors as much as she does. She is open to a family who has other children, but she has said that she would prefer that they be her age or older, as she has an easier time talking to older people. She would do well in a home where she can receive plenty of individual attention.

Jaimie states that she would prefer a home with two women, but is open to meeting anyone who is interested in learning more about her. Jaimie is legally free for adoption, and all families will be considered.
